The time that everyone fears, myself included. In the next week or so Meraktis will give everyone a report on how well we've been working. Stuff like: 'Have you been a reliable assistant' or 'Do you work well with the other nurses and staff'. As far as being a diligent worker I know I can't lose with that...but as far as getting along with the other staff it's a bit tougher. I used to get along with them pretty well, but due to all the work I've been alienating them. Honestly I don't see why it matters if I don't work well with the staff members. As long as I don't fight with them and don't bad talk them does it really matter? Hopefully Meraktis sees it that way, but you never know with that guy.

My real worries lie in the work though. Majorly I still handle paperwork, since Meraktis still thinks I'm too young to look at guts and blood, so I don't think my report will be too good. So yes I am a little scared, considering that Meraktis is in his legal rights to fire me if he sees fit to.
Hopefully I'll make it through though - please wish me luck. I think I might need it for once.

Mother and Sleazeball left after a couple day visit. A lot shorter than I expected them to stay actually. They just wanted to talk to me about Sleazeball's inheritance, and my part in it. Honestly, I don't know why. I don't even like him and he's nowhere near dying. He's only 56 I think. Well, as long as they're gone now it's all okay.

Valentine's day is long gone too. The nurses and I got a bunch of letters from so many people~ We all went out for a drink that evening together. Well, a couple of us didn't drink since we aren't technically legal yet. It was still all good and fun though. I'm off of work today as well, so I plan to rest up a little after this entry and maybe go to the nail salon to get a pedicure. I wonder what color I should get my toes painted this time around?~

What did all of you do for Valentine's Day? I hope it was exciting and fun for you. It's such a nice holiday but a lot of people get left out of it, sad enough. In any case, happy belated Valentine's day everyone!~ I hope you all had a fun one.

I got a new pair of shoes today at the shopping center. It cost about a good third of my paycheck but they look too adorable to pass up! I really should be careful with my spending...



But don't they look adorable! I especially love the little butterflies on them! Although I'll have to get use to them for a while before I wear them out. The heel is not something I'm use to. But I'm so glad I got them, they were the last pair and just my size! What do you think of them, hmm?

Also, speaking of shoes, a nurse at the clinic said that there was this song on the internet about shoes! Something having to do with a blond hair girl getting shoes or something. It's piqued my interest - can anyone leave a link to it, I can't seem to find it. Thank you~

Mother and Sleazeball coming in a couple days, so I won't be around too much. Shame really.

By the door outside the Meraktis Clinic there is a yellow box tapped to the wall. It is metallic and very professional looking. There are typed up words glued on it. It does not look like it was made with complete love.

I just got a call from my mother about an hour ago. Now this is pretty odd from the start, because my mother never calls me unless she wants something. Apparently she decided to inform me that she was coming to town with Sleazeball in the next couple days and is going to be around for an entire week and literally requested I show her around the city. Now this wasn't a request - rather a demand from dearest mother. The odd thing is why she's even coming to town. She's a pretty suburban woman and rarely ever leaves her villa. Yet all the sudden she's coming to town and she's bringing Sleazeball too! I have a bad feeling about this. What would she want from me?

Knowing my boss though he probably won't give me a day off to show her around the city - which for once is a good thing. If there's two people I would want to be around the least is her and Sleazeball. For once my boss saves the day - and my blood pressure. But that probably won't be enough for mother - I pray she doesn't barge into the clinic and demands Meraktis to give me time off. It would give me terrible flashbacks to junior high. Maybe I should give her a fake address to go to - perhaps the Hickfield Clinic?

Either way this isn't going to turn out pretty. Luckily my mother doesn't even own a computer and Sleazeball doesn't go on internet sites like this, so they won't see this. Then again, I don't care that much if they would see, even though I prefer they didn't.

Urgh I’m hungry. Diets are always difficult and I loathe them. Every single time I eat salads my stomach and mind have a similar thought process. But I can’t eat Chinese food! It makes you even hungrier within an hour and the calories don’t disappear as fast. I don’t think my food regiment is working out – then again I am only eating fruits, vegetables and the occasional yogurt and snack bar. Maybe I should try out those 100 Calorie snack packs, but I’m sure there’s some kind of twist to them. There always is.

Boss wants me to do more paperwork for the recent patients he had. Why do I have to do his paperwork – I didn’t even assist in that surgery! Sometimes I have to wonder if he enjoys putting all the boring work on his nurses. Poor Helga snapped a couple days ago and stormed out of the clinic. Wish I had the courage to do the same thing but I need this job to pay my college loans.

Maybe I can try out that weird loon’s noodles. That guy is always stalking the clinic, playing his harmonica during the day time. He can’t even play it that good and it screeches into my ears! But noodles are low in calories – I wonder if Boss will get mad at me for going over there, since he does seem to have some kind of beef with the vendor.

…No more food metaphors, because now I’m even hungrier than before! Oh, what to do.
